1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the Redemptor website, app or portals (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Dawit Consulting ("Redemptor", "we", "us"). By registering or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. Each credit product also has its own terms, which are shown to you before you accept it. If those product terms differ from these, the product terms apply to that product.

2. Who can use Redemptor

To use Redemptor as a rider you must:

We or your SACCO may refuse or cancel a registration, for example if details cannot be verified or appear to be a duplicate.

3. Your account and PIN

You sign in with your phone number and a PIN. Keep your PIN secret and do not share your phone or account with anyone. You are responsible for purchases made using your account unless you told us your PIN or phone was lost or misused before the purchase happened. Tell your SACCO or us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. Keep your phone number up to date.

4. How credit works

5. Costs

Before you accept a product we show you what it will cost: the amount, any charge or margin, the daily repayment and how long you have to repay. For some products, such as fuel, a small margin is built into the price per litre. We do not add charges that were not shown to you.

6. Repayment

You agree to repay what you draw in the amounts and on the dates shown for each product, usually in small daily instalments. You can repay early at any time. Repayments are applied to the oldest amount due first. You will be able to see what you owe and your repayment history in your account.

7. Missed payments and your savings

If you miss a repayment:

Late repayment may also lower your future limit.

8. Suspension and closure

We, your SACCO or the Lender may suspend your use of credit, for example if you fall behind, leave your SACCO, give false information, or we suspect fraud or misuse. Suspension does not cancel what you already owe. You may close your account at any time by contacting your SACCO or us, once any amount you owe has been paid.

9. SACCO officials, merchants and lenders

If you use Redemptor on behalf of a SACCO, merchant or Lender, you must:

10. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to break the law, register someone without their consent, use someone else's identity, try to get around your limit, interfere with the Service or its security, or copy or resell it. We may suspend accounts that do.

11. Availability

We work to keep Redemptor available and accurate, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or because of problems with networks, mobile money, or partners outside our control. We may change or improve features over time.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Kenyan consumer protection law or any liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, Redemptor is not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, by the goods or services a merchant provides, or by your failure to keep your PIN or phone secure. Where we are responsible, our liability is limited to the direct loss you suffer.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new "last updated" date and tell you in advance of significant changes. If you keep using Redemptor after the changes take effect, the new terms apply. Changes do not affect amounts you already drew under earlier terms.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If you have a complaint, contact us first and we will try to resolve it quickly. If we cannot, either side may take the matter to the courts of Kenya.
